I’m not sure why so many peoples first thought when they see a body lying in a ditch or on the side of a road is that it must be a mannequin. I don’t know about other people, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mannequin anywhere but in a clothing store.

Either I was very smart and/or I was very lucky and/or God was looking out for me. As a teen who did not have a good home life either, I’ve been approached by grown men for rides; I always said no and kept walking. I never got in a car with a stranger.

The heart knows it’s not a mannequin but the mind is doing that as a coping mechanisms. Basically saying to itself IT HAS TO BE A MANNEQUIN . because it’s Definitely not supposed to be a body

So many cops out there who know what they’re doing, dogged determination can make a difference in cases like these . My dad is a retired police officer… I totally understand this .
