Oh wow, Seeing movie stars share their struggles is refreshing! This is the first video I sat down for a full hour and enjoyed! Great content!

The funny thing to me is that Kit felt lacking when comparing himself to Jon Snow, but what I see in Kit is a man willing to learn, evolve, and better himself. He lamented not being better from the start, but ironically, he fits my definition of a good man. He challenges himself and checks his worst excesses, and he shows remarkable introspection. Keep up the good work, mate.

as 26 year old dude w adhd, watching this while on three substances has made me finally decide it’s time to sober up

Kit came to a Comic Con a few weeks after he got out of rehab and I remember everyone being really chill during his panel because we all knew that he was in recovery and it was a really nice experience, one of the questions someone sent to the moderator was literally “How are you doing man?”

Executive Functioning issues. Causes that freeze/fatigue. All part of ADHD. Example: We can all see a fire on the stove and touch it with our hands. Quite an easy thing. But our brains know it'll be painful so it won't let us. That's the neurodivergent issue. It's not laziness (it's chemistry). Our brains recognize tasks as uncomfortable/painful so doing them becomes energy draining. There are ways to trick the brain into enjoying the doing of tasks and there are medications (with a prescription) that aide our brain chemistry.

Thank you for being open and honest Kit. My son is ADD and an addict as well and this helps me understand some of what he may be going through. He is only 2 months sober and it has been a struggle for him. We need to talk about this more. You are a brave man. Thank you so much.

I am so glad for Kit Harrington. He may not be Jon Snow IRL, but he is still brave and open and strong like any hero. I hope his life continues to evolve in a happy and positive way. He deserves it.
  • @loomxr
as someone who is neurodivergent this was super relatable. especially needing to take a shower after getting overwhelmed to restart the day haha
  • Credit to Kit for recognizing his symptoms and acting on it. Others could easily have gotten swayed by the celebrity and glamour of it all, but he took care of himself and got the medical attention he needed. I hope he continues to pace himself through his career. Dealing with fame is impossible and we live in a difficult, cruel, and trigger happy world. Sounds like he's doing well and has a great support system at home! Much love.

I so rarely see anyone else talking about not having the time blindness, always late ADHD thing. My anxiety makes me be at least 15 minutes early to everything. And I am also the person worrying about annoying other people in a restaurant.
  • @immasurvivor
Its odd hearing Jon Snow describing the exact same social anxiety that I have, literally the exact the same wording even. Its a testament to the quality of the man that he managed to achieve so much in spite of it.

Such a raw and human interview. I saw him in Doctor Faustus at the Duke of York Theater and his performance was insane! so psychotic that stayed with me for days. And now that he talks about it, it's incredible how he managed to embody and act every day considering what he was going through. How unstable he was. And he still came out and greeted the fans for 10 or 15 minutes, always being kind and gentle, giving them hugs and everything. It takes a lot of courage, strength and determination to change, be healthy, be better . What a brave man you are Kit! Brave 👏🏻

This made me cry, I’m 26 years old, have adhd, am struggling with coming out of a drinking addiction, and have found a lot of comfort in the harry potter series before bed. He made sense of a lot of things that I subconsciously felt, but never dissected in a a critical way. Good job
  • @derekgornall
I have never heard someone describe my experiences so viscerally and clearly. And from the man who played possibly my favorite and most idolized character of all time. Word's cant say what this interview is doing/will do for me. Thank you Kit!!
  • Gunpowder is probably my favorite thing kit has done, because he really took the lead of getting it made while also delivering a powerful and heartbreaking performance. He’s more than just Jon Snow. Incredible actor
  • @franhunter4701
Not got ADD, nor am I an addict. No one with any kind of decency would need to be either to appreciate what this interview means to so many. It needs more people to see it. All credit to both of you for this interview. An interviewee who chose to answer honestly. An interviewer who asked the right questions, which allowed for those answers. I’m 54 and lost one of my best life long friends to alcoholism a few months ago. We’d know each other since kids, ended up starting a band together. We gigged and toured and even did an album, although unsigned. More than anything we were a true band of brothers. Watching this interview I realise as much as I tried to help him come off the drink over three decades, I’ll always wonder what more I could have done. Heartbreaker for all who loved my mate but maybe if more people see this video, they just maybe able help someone they love, avoid the same fate. Ben, thank you for the video. Kit, thank you for your honesty. I wish yourself and your family nothing but the best. You are a good man.
  • @ZeldasMask
I literally love Kit Harrington so much I WISH he was in more films/shows
  • It’s so comfortable knowing that even famous persons are actually person with the same problems we have, Kit you are a great example. U made me feel like we all can do it, no matter how worried we are about what the other tables can think
  • @HK-jh9gv
Imagine going to a party and finding Kit under a bed. What a confusing and lovely scenario at the same time! 😍
  • This podcast made me love Kit even more Jon Snow may know nothing but Kit knows everything Long live King in the North ❤❤❤❤
