Erika (Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein) is a marching song of the German military. The song was composed by Herms Niel in 1939. Name "Erika" had been derived from the heather plant (German: Heide, Erika; Latin: Erica). Vast heather-yards are one of the proud symbols of German natural heritage.[citation needed] The song has also become traditional by the highly prussianized Chilean Army.

Let's not forget the things Germany gave the world... Printing press, internal combustion engine (gasoline and diesel), the first car, first electric train, first truck, first TV, SMS messaging, LCD displays, integrated circuit, cathode ray tube, litography, the Autobahn, the jet engine, rocketry, aspirin, bandages, echocardiography, x-ray, electron microscope, mp3s, electric motor, rigid airships, gyrocompass and pretty much every advancement in the automotive world. From ABS and airbags to traction control, fuel injection and radar guided cruise control. There's a lot more, but these are some of the things with more wow factor. Our world is better because Germany is still in it. PS: I'm not German. I'm Bulgarian.
