Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and his party opposed the Liberals' plan to increase Canada's capital gains inclusion rate, in a vote that still passed with the backing of the NDP and Bloc Quebecois.

"Trudeau vs Poilievre: Toronto byelection could be 'referendum' on PM." We don't need a "referendum on [the] PM"; it should be fairly obvious to anyone that he is almost universally despised -- he has been described by more than a few commentators as the worst PM in Canadian history.
