Boreas Ponds Bike & Camp

Published 2020-09-08
#Boreasponds #adirondacks #bikecamping Due to the threat of major rain overnight, I changed our plans from Duck Hole via Upper Works to a Boreas Ponds bike trip with a stay at new lean to location. The lean to was already taken, but we packed shelter and made a nice little camp. It's always wonderful unplugging with the kids and enjoying nature together.

Beautiful trip. Beautiful kids. Time spent together priceless.
  • I have followed you since your first video. Always a pleasure. My o’ my how the kids have grown. Beautiful area eh? I hiked in from the house 2 weeks ago. It was a real mess then from the storm as was my place. All the best. Health and safe travels to your family.
  • Awesome adventure! I love the idea of bike & camp trips ... that might be the ticket to get my kids out a bit more next year! Beautiful location - I definitely need to get out there for myself. Thanks for sharing!

Great video but as an update the spot where they camped is now posted Camping Prohibited. It is very difficult to find a spot for a tent there as there are no camping disks all over. The lean-to was interesting - had fold down cots made of wood on the sides, but that appears to be the only legal site - and even there the signs were confusing as the had more of them facing the lean-to.

What liter bag do you use on most you overnight / weekend overnights?
