So happy I found you! I'm 84, or I will be in and am totally hooked on fashion . Even more so than when I was younger. Your take on fashion in this vid is very similar to mine. I never leave the house without having an "edgy" item peeking out somewhere....i.e. combat boots with wrap-around dress and black leather vest, ruffled shirt with flare jeans and pointy toe cowboy boots, etc. So fun, and it really takes your personal style up a notch. Thanks for such a great video, Lydia! Would love to see one for us petite ladies.
  • Your Lessons with Lydia always give very useful advice on how to elevate one’s look. Could you do a video which gives advice on how to style problem areas like protruding tums, wide hips, large/ small bust, heavy thighs etc. You have a beautiful silhouette but many of us don’t so some fashion tips on helping to disguise them would be great!
  • @zz5022
Please do a series for petites! I’m 5’1 and struggle so much with finding clothes that fit well even after being tailored
  • @torytate7260
I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone with more beautiful style than you, Lydia. You just seem like the epitome of class and elegance and ladylike beauty. Love your videos! They're always so helpful and inspiring!

Ms. Lydia, I’m so happy to have found your channel! I am almost 65 years old and searching for ways to avoid that frumpy, granny style of dress. Love your idea of balancing casual and dressy together - creating a modest and classy look. The effortless, less “try hard” and “contrived” look I’ll give two thumbs up. Looking forward to future videos.😊
  • @lynnmyrick4045
I’d love a weekly “Lessons with Lydia”, even in a short form. Very helpful when you use examples to illustrate your point!
  • @martagmt
I would love a video about how to take care of white clothes. They seem to last you a long time.

  • @tarotlondon
I've been doing this for years by accident lol. I prefer an oversized shirt over structured a bottom, a tube maxi skirt etc. It's just the tomboy in me and makes me feel more confident that if I wore a tightly fitted dress etc
  • @dianecyment1715
First of all, I must say that your hair style is lovely. This video was oh so helpful. I would love to see more of this type of presentation. Thank you for your time and effort.
  • @debchaffin
would love to see your top 10 pieces in your wardrobe! 😊

Dear Lydia, I will forever be incredulous and honestly, simply disgusted by the comments people take the time, effort, and mental power to write. 🤯 I adore and highly respect the creators I choose to follow, but I don’t know how you deal with inane, unkind, and unnecessary (basically) comments. I know it’s part of being confident and courageous enough to put yourself out there, but good God!! You are my most watched stylist and I can’t wait for new videos. I think you know well enough to color your eyebrows AS YOU WISH, the outfits you wear are thoughtfully put together and always CLASSY, and if there is a look or a creator that doesn’t jive with me…it takes 1 NANOSECOND to scroll on by! If this is what people feel they must spend their hearts and mind on at this level in the scope of life, it’s no wonder there is so much hate and resulting turmoil in the world! Anyway, sending love and appreciation- thank you for the hard work and time you put into each of your videos that remarkably, we get to experience for FREE. ❤️
  • @lynndupree1205
I've always practiced this principle for dressing. If I have a loose top, I pair with fitted bottoms, and also the opposite. Our weather here in the southern US gets very hot so I find myself wearing a lot of sleeveless blouses and cami tops. I pair them with loose trousers and wide leg jeans. Thanks for ALL your suggestions Lydia! I always enjoy your videos. ❤
  • @riri1718
Yes, this is my favourite and number 1 tip from you that has transformed my style the most. I personally like to juxtapose Feminine pieces, with masculine ones; and it always gives my outfits a good edge.
  • @Monika-kc8vv
…and just that raffia bag in your last clip, so useful ! All the dressing elements and tips are such a great reminder. I follow you on YouTube for quite some time now and since that first day, dressing became so much easier for me. Thank you for your ongoing inspiration and brilliant reminders. Have a fab weekend and a great coming week ahaid 👏💐💝
  • Love this style of video! You have an amazing eye for style. The rule of juxtaposition in style makes a lot of sense. Please continue Lessons with Lydia, they are so helpful.
  • @the_sketchy_cat
Your YT Channel is one of my all time faves for styling content. Your videos have given me so much knowledge on creating better outfits that are fit to my proportions, building a closet that’s classic & timeless, and styling what I own. Heck yes to more Lessons with Lydia!
  • @williamkazak469
A very nice video. I wish that more women in the Midwest would learn how to dress with great style and be classy in their appearance. Much praise to you for your efforts.
