The firefighters are our heroes and we owe it to them that they get their rest. They are people too and they are risking their lives to prevent this state from burning to the ground.

firefighters are such heroes, I can't believe anyone could do a 36-hour shift in brutal heat & incredible danger. Bless them!

Extreme competence on display. Thank you to everyone involved, really. You can tell because of the professionalism on display in this very conference (ASL, maps, good audio..).
  • Stay safe, ladies and gentlemen sending you all our love and we have the solution to prevent this from happening

These men on the frontline need sleep! These are good men who have families and children they want to come home to. They are tasked to make split second decisions, without any mistakes. You really think that’s possible when someone is working 48 hours straight? What a joke. Your relentless mission to work them into the ground is unacceptable. Do you even care how much of a liability it is if someone gets hurt because they are lacking sleep? I am appalled the higher ups are taking advantage of the firefighters and working them to the bone. Can you imagine working days on end without a break? You have overworked them. Where is the relief?? This is physical and mental

These men need relief and some SLEEP. How are they supposed to save our state and lives as they are being deprived and depleted? They deserve better!!

I blame Gavin Newsome solely for piss poor forest management. To me, this is his way of forest management, letting it burn and begging the federal government for money.

This is absurd. These guys need a fkn break and food. You guys have dropped the ball big time on this incident and should be ashamed of yourselves. Who's to blame? The unit chiefs? These guys have been AWAKE fighting, hiking, cutting, and helping this community. There's been no time for sleep on the line and yet you think they are machines and just supposed to keep going? If anything happens to them due to negligence the lawsuits will be plenty, trust me. This is not ok.

It will take 10,000 men to stop this far or something with the intelligence like mine you must jump way ahead of the fire and build a 5-mile fire l i n e front and both f l a n k s
