That was a flat spin on what looks to be a prop aircraft, impossible to recover from. The amount of terror onboard is heartbreaking to think of, it was a really slow and long fall… Rest in peace

CORRECTION: The plane crashed in a town around 90km from São Paulo (called Vinhedo) and NOT in a NEIGHBORHOOD near São Paulo.

Watching this happen is a literal nightmare of mine. A small plane with four passengers crashed in a pasture close to my rural home when I was a kid. I heard all the small town tales about picking up body parts, etc. so it’s kind of a core memory for me. I can’t imagine watching this in person.

ATR has a known history of crashing in icy weather conditions American Eagle used to fly them some decades ago and had several crashes in the ATR , this is a sad situation
