Seeing houses like this breaks my heart. I always wonder about the families that lived there, but to see the house itself just left to decompose is sad. Those houses were so beautiful and had so much character. What a waste.

What I have discovered is that many times remaining family members don’t want the physical, mental and financial burden/responsibility of doing the right thing. It saddens me so much. I unfortunately have experienced this grief many times. I wouldn’t let my loved ones properties be left to rot. Shame on them.

No speculations from me. I do enjoy seeing what was left behind. Videos with content like this makes me decide to keep my life simple and stay content with belongings. I don't need to collect things if it means I may lose sleep worrying about my possessions OR having extra stuff to dust and maintain... Interesting. Thanks for posting Mr. Rick

I loved the Victorian homes, they were scary and awesome. They used to be everywhere when I was growing up in the 80's

This breaks my heart! Such a beautiful old home. Probably could still be salvaged. My guess is that the person passed and the family may have just taken all the good things that they think are valuable and left everything else. 😊

You are brave to climb up to the second and third floors. I wonder if the house started going into disrepair and it was just too much for the family to fix so they left. The voice saying get out was chilling.

It boggles the mind to think of the weight imposed by the second and third floors to the bottom floor.

Upkeep/repairs on a house that size would be very expensive. Perhaps they just couldn't afford it anymore, the house was then condemned and they moved out. Anywho, thanks for the tour Rick!
