I worked with Steve for over 10 years. Good guy. Glad to see he's being recognized for his efforts in the Asian American community.
  • I work in SF. If you want life to come back to SF, you really have to make people feel safe first. Crime, homelessness, and drugs have to go first.
  • Great guy. Spent Saturday night with him and the guy who created the Underdog 55 chevy at The Lions Den. You can feel the history in there of Chinatown. Great job Steve.

I hope SF makes a comeback. All I hear is horror stories! I have great memories of Chinatown!

Thanks Steve — we need more people like you, a new generation of forward thinking visionaries to carry and share our heritage with the world that is beyond the delicious buns and roast ducks hanging and beckons our appetite in the shop window, or the seemingly endless vegetable stands spewing at the brim.
  • Best of luck. I hope the Bay can be vibrant some day like it used to be.

I'm glad I ate there once, but no one insulted us.

Seattle Chinatown didn't have a nightlife but it did have people going down there at night until the city made meters active till later into the night and let the homeless situation get out of hand. And the politicians didn't help either with their idiotic ideas which made it hard to run a profitable business along with the high rents. Chinese businesses took their business out of Seattle and are striving creating new Chinese hubs. Seattle Chinatown is fading away. There are new developments going up around the area also of which will eventually engulf it.
