I stumbled upon this video in 2021 when i was receiving chemotherapy treatment. Your performance gave me hope and strength that I could make it to the morrow because Jesus did. Today I stand cancer free and healthy. Thank you. God bless. šŸŽŗ

I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever heard someone play trumpet with this much soul in my entire life, he makes that Strad sing, and from the interviews Iā€™ve seen, heā€™s super humble and cool.
  • Itā€™s funny how that crowd just witnessed the sound of heaven and reacted with polite clapping.

most people would say that ā€œyour playing should come from the diaphragmā€, yet some forget that it should come from the heart as well. absolutely jaw dropping and astounded at the fact this has only under 100k views, jesse mcguire should be getting atleast 50M overall. super underrated.

That's how you play the HELL out of a gospel song! Such passion and intensity! I never tire of listening to you play, Dr!

2:28 is so powerful and impressive with a hint of nostalgia, jesus christ

Jesus even the camera quality matches his playing. Itā€™s not often you see such a strong shine on a video and the tone of the playing is just as shiny, if not shinier

Man that is one of the best embouchures Iā€™ve seen.

When I go to the other side I want this song to play. It makes me feel nostalgia and peace for some reason. It makes me feel better. It reminds me of my family. Fly high grandpa.

Maynard and Bill Chase would be proud, indeed. AMAZING talent when you can choose to play very loud for a few measures-- and stay IN TUNE! Simply stunning.
  • In 1996 I remember watching this with my grandparents. (They never missed the 700 club) I had been playing trumpet for like 1 year and a half and I was 11/12 ish my grandfather looks at dead in the eyes and says ā€œBoy you better start sounding like that or ima need to you to give this lil horn thing upā€ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
  • @Funkadelic3

  • For all musicians playing trumpet: To reach such performance very long time is required in exercising and even then, to reach such perfect intonation is astonishing. Many thanks Jesse
