2023 Dodge Challenger R/T

Published 2024-04-10
Old school muscle! 5.7 liter Hemi V8 producing 375HP and 410 lb-ft of torque. This car has an 8-speed automatic transmission. The R/T is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission. It has front short and long arm suspension and multilink rear suspension with a mechanical limited slip differential RWD.

  • I own a 17 R/T 6 spd Challenger ,I've owned it for four yrs now and absolutely love it.
  • I love the old colonial-era homes along the route. I’m about to buy a 5.7 L R/T in F8 Green.

Love my 18 scatpack. 305s in the rear, 275s out front on hellcat wheels. Makes people who say a challenger can't get around a curve eat crow. Home road is 421 the snake, but on 16 back of the dragon and 129 tail of the dragon fairly often.

I got one a couple months ago. New 2023 Plum Crazy 5.7 Shaker. It is fun. Always wanted one since HS. Never could afford it til now at 67 years old! Haha! Better late than never. I need to get the windows tinted since I'm in an aquarium right now. Lol. I love that laugh at the end... I feel the same way when driving it.

That car is great with the “performance handling group” has lowered ride hight and the Bembro brakes on all for corners. The axel is also the one that would come with the Scat Pack too..

I have the T/A 6.4 in GoManGo color. I use 275 performance tires and it helps plant the power much easier. I got it with low miles for 55k. Now they're selling R/T's for that price and that's much of the reason why it's not selling well. Economics aside, it's a big thumbs up for all who get to witness it for sure.

Mine is all sublime with black spoilers front and back black along the bottom and everyone does look. With Last Call badge. Love mine great sound. Everyone comments on mine and it moves out pretty good for a heavy car and like in the old days stick to the road better than a lighter car. Its fun to drive . It all about the fun you have in this car.

Awesome video brother, we have a 2023 Dodge Charger RT Scat Pack Widebody with the 392 Hemi V8 in it with 485 HP and 475 Ibs of Torque and let me tell you its a freakn beast.

    Love the color & trim...✌️
  • Hi there, just found your review. I have a 2015 r/t 5.7 over here in England. Very few over here so get slot of attention. Love it so much great to drive. Lots of our country lanes are like this. And driving a left hand drive on the left hand side is no big deal. So sad they stopped them. Am off to the molar muscle meet at Brooklands next week, where McLaren is made. Keep driving.
  • Good video, i have the exact same car ( T/A , 5.7, sublime green) and i love it. Its not a perfect car but the car is perfect, always fun to drive any roads and put you a big smile on your face for the day. I am 6'3" tall and i love the space for driving and the comfort from this muscle car you dont have from a Camaro or Mustang ,long drive fun to ride. And yes you have eyes on you T/A package in sublime green its a big winner . Even people dont like cars will look at you and will apreciate to see this muscle car.
  • Love these cars.Even the 6 runs well.I just got the RT a wk ago.Not super fast, but not going to race it.Plenty of power for a every day car. The sound and the shift is amazeing.Fun cars and still a head turner

Great review of this challenger! I own a 2021 charger scatpack, and it's a great car. Owned since new, now have 18.5k miles on it. I mostly drive highway and average 21 mpg with it. I think the RT is best for most people as it has the v8 sound, can use regular gas vs premium, and overall cost of maintenance is lower. Unfortunately all Dodge cars ballooned in price the last few years, I got my charger scat pack for 45.5k out the door with the plus group and a sunroof in Nov 2021. 58k for a TA is steep. Good thing Dodge is discounting their cars heavily now.

I love my 5.7 charger. Those 5.7s come ridiculously restricted from factory. The manifolds are so bad. I threw some long tubes and a tune on it.

I must admit, I really enjoy seeing and hearing a review from the elder demographic, " Respectfully ". Before my dad passed in 2022, he was starting to like the Challengers because I stated I wanted one. I'm not an young buck but not in the elder demo, mid family man. Ever since I purchased my Ram 1500 in 2016, the Chall has caught my eye, walking around the dealership while waiting for the oil change, they really have grown on me. Now, I'm a Corvette owner of 3 and looking to add a Chall to the garage, I'm eyeing a 2018 SRT 392, with low miles and getting close to pulling the trigger. Dodge or should I say Stellantis, is ripping our muscle hearts out by discontinuing this beast of an Machine. New Sub and looking forward to more reviews. 👍 5/21/2024

Beautiful car. Looks like somewhere in new England. Forsythias bloom right about now up there. Great time to take a drive in a beast like the. Fall too.
