Who’s here right after watching Fiona on Piers Morgan? 😂
-
I watched it. Through my neighbours window. Sent from my calculator.
-
When his dad said 'do you think I'm less of a man?' I broke down sobbing. Incredible writing, acting and such startling bravery. Bravo Richard.
-
Binged it. Great show. Sent from my iPhone
-
I love the moment he and his father discover they share the same past.
-
Richard is so incredibly brave for not only telling his story but physically acting this trauma out for the second time. I can’t even imagine how difficult that must be. We are all proud of you Richard ❤️
-
This show needed to be made. Trauma is transformative. He’s very self aware.
-
The line that hurt me the most was “I loved her but not more than hating myself” l it truly resonated. It’s just so impactful and so vulnerable
-
I almost can’t believe how open and vulnerable this show was, pretty incredible
-
The scene where he breaks down on stage has to win some sort of award
-
Episode 4 was the most difficult things I’ve watched I think ever.
-
When I saw this I thought ‘how incredible is this actor?!’ And then I learned he WROTE IT based on his OWN EXPERIENCE I just couldn’t believe it
-
This show deserves an award.
-
It genuinely breaks me that he says ‘I know other people have had it much worse than me’ What an extraordinarily strong man
-
I love how honest he is in this show, even going back to his abuser as a form of self hate, I think a lot of victims can relate
-
The fact he wrote about and acted his trauma is truly incredible. The series was amazingly written and acted. I hope it wins so many awards, very well deserved.
-
Never seen such realistic portrayal in media of what a victim has to go through and experience after being victimised. I haven't cried this much in a long time. We need more art that resonates with people
-
Randomly chose to watch 5 minutes of this. Watched the entire series in one sitting. Blew me away. Best series I've seen. And lead female actor, Jessica Gunning - have never seen such talent. Stunned.
-
Honestly, the intense attachment a person can have to their abuser is so real. This series opened my eyes to things I have never understood about myself, and my response to my own abuser. I couldn’t stop watching. I binged it in a day by myself, and I had no idea how much I needed it, this was so unexpectedly therapeutic. I hope Richard Gadd is doing alright these days. I’m so proud of him.

Takes a strong man to relive his trauma in front of the world👊🏾❤️
