When I was a kid we either got a hose used for the watering of the field or a fountain that had a micro ecosystem in it complete with a living mosquito colony. We preferred the hose since it was less likely to give you lock jaw/yellow fever/west/east Nile virus.

My favorite was that most of the time it wasn’t even my mom that was giving us gatorades like that, just one of my buddies moms.
