I've been a Lakers fan since the early 90s. I remember watching this game with my dad and he was absolutely disgusted. Gave me some life lessons about the difference between doing whatever it takes to win and cheating. Looking back, there was a lot of weird shit going on back then to save the NBA from going bankrupt.

I watched that game and I was MAD AS HELL!!! I like the Kings that season but the calls were crazy. Kobe's foul on Bibby was a no call?!?! Crazy

As a lifelong Lakers fan, I can confidently say this game was most definitely fixed. Kobe's foul on Bibby was horrendous, to say the least, and even though I have admired Kobe all my life, this left a bad taste in the mouth - Refs were sold!

It’s crazy you sometimes forget just how much insanity went into that Lakers 3peat. I remember a ton of ppl saying they shoulda never had the first ring either bc that series with the Trailblazers. 🤷♂️

Imagine grinding so hard to where you can best the king's at the time, and then fixed refs just shut you down

After losing twice in LA in devastating fashion the Kings had nothing left and blew game seven at home, giving the series away by poor free throw shooting and a lackluster effort. Blaming the refs is understandable but the Kings failed because of 4th quarter breakdowns.
