How Youtube Shorts promote LAZY content....And what makes a "good' short?

It’s been a good month since a genuine upload, happy with this one, hopefully y’all enjoy

I think shorts are insanely good for exposure, on both sides of the spectrum from small youtubers like us to the big names, and they’re really good for the things you mentioned. But in the long term i think its not gonna end well for the platform. To be honest im more upset about dislikes not being visible it really hurts legacy users at least in my opinion. I miss seeing shitty videos get dislike bombed. It was also an easy visible tell for videos like tutorials, but i digress i’ve already written a short essay. In all fairness its really because i want nothing more than for the platform to be as transparent as possible i know the google overlords can off our accounts at any time :$) Keep up the good work!

yt shorts are epic

Despite how cancerous yt shorts can be, it's undeniably the best way to grow on yt rn. I'm considering doing a few of them myself, but just like you said, they'll be more bite sized versions of my normal content

First, IG wants to be TikTok and now its YT like wtf bro! 🤦🏽‍♂

My most hated short is either when a person has a photo on the top half and in the bottom half they are stone faced with the same shitty song adding nothing. The other one is just the pointing to sky the start with the title being something like “CRAZIEST THINGS TO HAPPEN ON VIDEO” and 3 of the 4 videos are CGI and the short uses the same Gorillaz song in every video

the only shorts I've watched are from a guy called hbomb His videos are already short so it just fits normally, plus there's no annoying ass clickbait or what is normal for shitty content other then that short are aids

It’s always made my blood boil on another level watching my parents just fucking allow my siblings watch and scroll the most brain-rotted and idiotic shorts endlessly without a single brain cell in use, TEN FOLD worse than the examples you gave. Go incognito and scroll the first 100 videos and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
