Seeing this live was incredible... People took their cellphone's light and it looked like the sky was covered in fireflies

the more i listen to this song, the more depressing it gets. the story in the song appears to be about following a relationship that is drifting away, but you keep on going because of the embers of good in it - the fireflies...but you can only see them in the dark. and the 6/4 time signature also is cyclical and goes in the pattern, where the first verse ascends, then falls again. in the chorus is ascends higher and higher then tumbles down again. kind of reflecting how emotionally draining the relationship is because when it's high it's high but when it's low it is LOW.

Previously, every Gorillaz song took a few spins to become a favorite. This and Sorcerez were instant hits for me. Amazing.

Its amazing how they don't get burnt out making all this music like other artist eventually do. They've been active for 20 years!! That's crazy asff. That's how you know this band loves what they do.
