Thermaltake upgraded the iconic open frame Core P3! Meet the Core P3 TG Pro. Upgrades include an additional fan bracket, modernized I/O ports, redesigned base and a recessed zone for radiators that maximizes space for the biggest and most advanced hardware.

This is the only PC case I've seen that doesn't come at least partially assembled. You just get a big box of parts and you have to assemble everything like a piece of furniture.

In this video I'll show you the steps I took to get everything assembled to hopefully save you some time if you get your own Core P3 Pro. Also covered is build quality, features and specs. To finish it all off, I installed the hardware from my main rig which includes a Core i9-13900K, RTX 3090, and a big AIO.

Tips for Building in the Core P3 Pro
- Install PSU cables and route them through the main pass-through before securing the PSU to the frame.
- You will need to purchase a separate PCIe riser cable to mount the GPU vertically.
- Mounting the PSU flat will limit your motherboard choices to ITX and mATX.
- Use custom fan curves to help reduce noise.

So I have this case and I absolutely love it. I want to address what he said about noise with this case. First of all it is open case so there is no sound deadening. From my experience swapping from a closed case to this, just simply swapping all hardware in the case actually was way quieter. My 240ml aio was quieter because it wasn't sucking and venting through a closed case. The air routing in and out through filters and mounting points makes like a vortex that actually increases sound. I then swapped to a 360ml custom loop for my cpu and I thought this is gonna be loud but it wasn't. I had the EVGA clc 240 and my 360ml custom loop is way less louder. Also with just swapping my original setup before upgrading to the custom loop my temps fell my 12c to 18c across the board on cpu and gpu. The open case setup of this case in itself drops temps so my gpu barely spins the fans even when in use now. So taking that into consideration as well if your into quiet pc you can lower fan rpm and still sit below the temps you would have in a closed case. I don't care about quiet so I just run mine on aggressive fan curves but in my experience this is still quieter than my old case on the aio or current custom loop. My next step is to run a second stand alone loop so I can water block my gpu, the only thing holding me back is the stock cooler on my gpu does so good it hasn't ran above 60c whether I'm gaming, video editing high end footage in davinci resolve studio or have it running at 100% load for 8 hours or more processing 3d drone mapping projects. But I just love the look and the case has plenty of room for it.
  • Enjoy your new build my man 💪🥰🤯! Looks soooo sweet 🤤🫠! As an ITX builder, I wish this case came in a smaller form factor for more confined spaces 😪. It’s awesome to see over the pas couple years case manufacturers taking risks on new case designs and escaping the plain pc box or Lian Li 011D for consumers 🥳🎉

Wallmounting your PC is the biggest flex i can imagine

just built 2 pc's in the core p5 v2 and its amazing. Such a great design and for a moderately advanced watercooling loop, couldnt ask for something better.

Just one correction in your build - The GPU is too close to the tempered glass. Move it a little back. There is about an inch between the GPU and the glass panel thus the airflow is not optimal. It was a mistake i also did with my Core P5 TG. In fact, after watching your video, some years ago, it was you who convinced me to get that case. The instructions are fine. It takes a little creativity to build the case but you don't buy a designer case, unless youre not planning on modifications. I had to drill additional holes to mount my custom water loop. :D Cheers!

Really nice build! Debating on getting 120mm fans vs 140mm in the P3 Pro front panel.

I have the original P3, and while I like the Pro, nothing about it compels me to make the switch. I will consider it for a new, additional, build however. There are some interesting changes made to the Pro that, while they don't seem game changing, they add a little more flexibility.

i just bought the normal p3 and i think the feet on that version is so much nicer. however i would love his fan trey so much,

Im curious. I have 3x 360mm Radiators. Would it be possible to buy another panel to add one to the front and top?
  • @DaCocoBrova
I've had the OG P# for years and it served me well. I've since upgraded my GPU, and due to the card's length, I had to mount the card upright, otherwise it would collide w/ the AIO CPU cooler. So once I changed the orientation, it was apparent that I lost access to the PCI-E slots due to the mounting brackets vertical orientation. Am I supposed to use PCI-E riser ribbons to bridge the gap?

Hey ECPU, How is the Dust like this on the case, does dust build up more or less, Also often do you remove the dust?
  • @sandyw159_
I got a Core P3 Pro because my next build will have the Arctic 420 AIO. The fan noise I can deal with. My current stream pc always has the fans running at full tilt anyways.

I’m all for working on this type of setup but man the way the screws came and how bad the instructions were. Yes it was like bad furniture. Looks nice but geez a pain in the ass

Got the Snow version with Tubes to i9 and 3070 Ti Blocked!

Great video. Gave me confidence. Looks Dope ass hell. I'm liking the Black version and may do me a black build with light RGB. Whats wrong with using the USB 3.0 on the front? I mean, I'll make sure the MoBo has the other USBs I guess.
