We will test the strength of different threaded rods using a hydraulic press.

Steel products varies in specification, the test results tells that clearly. Brands or country of origin has nothing to do with the samples tested. Every bolt have its application and usage. Users need to know where to use what, that is the point

from a " X Kg per dollar " perspective point of view, I'd say $0.5 one is really way worthy than the rest of them.
  • @bigfunny1394
The $0.5 one is the best. Don't forget it's from construction which use purpose is totally different from car or airplane usages. Who would buy the $50 one, nuts.

From the statistical point of view, I don't know what you want to express in this video. There are specifications marked on the screws. There are many specifications. I saw 5.8/8.8. For example, if it is marked with 5.8, it actually means the tensile force is 520 MPa. As long as it reaches this, it is qualified.
  • Era si normal, nu poti compara grupa de rezistenta a materialului 5.8 China cu 12.9 U S A. Faceti si testarea surub U S A grupa 5,8 sa vedem....
  • Actually, such a comparative experiment is meaningless. We should compare prices with the same specifications, or compare prices with specifications. Comparing different prices and specifications is meaningless. China also has bolts of various specifications, with different prices and usage scenarios

Bmw has had head bolt problems in the past. Remember their v12. Head bolt stretching and self ignition due to injector fuel lines . Good vid

I do think that you should compare different origin products all at the same price, let alone they have different spec and application. Keep in your mind that each penny pays. Don't expect something worth one dollar but you pay only one penny! That is stupid and greedy!

Why compare US and China bolts without specifying product specs first?. Are they of the same grade?

Cool but... Why for the American made one did you have a bigger gap between the hooks?? That alone changes the physics of the pull and stress on the metal as Well.... .. .
  • @Paul-jb7br
You need to generate stress strain curves for us engineering nerds.
