Muichiro Tokito is the descendant of the Upper Moon 1 demon known as Kokushibo. Although the Tsugikuni family revered their last name, which led to them changing it to Tokito. Muichiro and his twin brother Yuichiro still carried the “ichi” and the “Y” and “M” characters in their names as their ancestors Yoriichi and Michikatsu. Yoriichi is the creator of the first breathing technique, Sun breathing while his twin brother Michikatsu Created the Moon breathing technique. Muichiro and Yuichiro can be considered as the reincarnation of their twin ancestors as they are twins themselves and later in the anime we see Muichiro awaken a red blade, Indicating that he has the ability to perform Sun breathing. We can assume such because although Tanjiro has done the same, he is not related to the Tsugikini family at all and instead is a descendant of a close friend of Yoriichi’s which is why Yoriichi taught his friend the flame dance. 🔥🕺
