I read her memoir. It was striking about when she stopped her tale. Nothing about her struggle with breast cancer, nothing about being dumped by her record label;, nothing about her gay husband BUT every detail about the clothes she wore to a concert in 1978

Fun fact. If you have a stammer when you talk, it doesn't appear when you sing. Different muscles in your throat and being used when you sing and the neurological glitch (that causes the stammer) isn't activated. I know from experience.

I find it strange that she & James shared 2 children together & after they divorced in 1983, they haven’t spoken even 1 time. What about family gatherings, Thanksgiving & Christmas celebrations? Forgiveness is a virtue that some people simply lack.

Ut looks like to me she went through hell and back with drugs, her marriage to James Taylor coming to an end in a terrible divorce, anger, rage, . Etc. Yeah I feel her pain. Her life wasn't the greatest ever because of everything she went through. I know what it's like to go through hell and back. R.I.P Carly Simon. You'll always be remembered for your "You're So Vain" song. The song was a gift.
