Javettas Strawberry Icecream
4-5 cups cut up strawberries ( I used 5)
Put 1 cup sugar over cup up strawberries and out in fridge 30 minutes to an hour. Hour is best
Then mix blended strawberries with 4 cups heavy whipping cream,
1 cup sugar,
2 tsp vanilla
Dash of salt.
Use milk to fill to fill line on the 4 quart ice cream mixer.
Ice and Rock salt layered them let the machine do the work

Many years ago a young couple had us over for supper and they made home made ice cream. Salt got in it and it was awful. I felt so bad for them and us,they were mortified. I told them that things happen not to worry about it. Poor things. Anyway now we laugh about it. Luv from Missouri
