didn't expect that. I guess the margin on shoes is better than bikes.

Someone is working for .30 cents an hour to put those $400 shoes out.
  • @huhummmmmmm
That not needing a wide version statement is bollocks. It's simply a smaller market and they don't want to spend the cash for such a variant.

Just what the world needs … another $400 cycling shoe.
  • @erikdali983
Disappointed that it does not come in wide sizes :/

As someone who has mega wide feet; I can't find information on the width of the shoes. so it's an instant nope for me. high end shoes are worth nothing if they don't fit properly. - Canyon saying they don't need a wide version just sounds like nonsense to me. I'm sure bike fitters have an opinion on this matter...

Let me save some of you the trouble. The shoes won’t be available for eons. When your pair finally do arrive, something about them will be screwed up. Then you’ll fight Canyon for months trying to get the right thing, your $$ back, etc.
  • I tried specialized mtb shoes once. They're comfortable but the plastic knobs on the sole didn't last long. They literally disintegrated. Shimano soles are better, they'll wear out slowly but won't shed chunks like specialized. I hope this Canyon is good.

The shoe hurt on the early rides....WHAT, YOU EXPECTED COMFORT FOR £320? ARE YOU MAD!
  • @pauldrew3696
There is nothing anywhere as overpriced as in the bike industry.
  • @DnBSkunk
Will they come sized slightly larger than usual?
  • They don't look like they have replaceable toe and heal guards and the "over-flap" fastener looks like it's prone to stretching or potentially tearing.
  • @oneschance
OK, but will they actually be in stock?
  • @florenzebg
They look promising👍. The Soles are a big plus since they cost at least 70-100€ and I think noone should throw away this performance of their shoe. Incredible upgrade. For which foot width would you recommend them?
  • I have a square shaped foot so the need for a wide version is a must. Bonts offer the best shaped toe box for a square shaped foot.

For shoes, shoe companies, including now Canyon, should make other colors than black and white, especially colors that can catch attention which both could look cool and is proven to improve safety.

Given the change rate here that’s over $500. Just bonkers
