It make me dance alone, and I am 83. Feeling like 18 in spite of painful legs. What rythm!
  • 51 years old now, been a fan since my first year in high school at 14 years old and friends used to say I listened to "Old people music" well I'm old now, and it still sounds better than what my kids listen to on the radio.

I knew Lee Ritenour since my first year in collage.....now I'm 72 years young.....no wonder.....he is a maestro. Since then I became a jazzy dog.....😊

I play bass. Melvin owns the bass. When you can groove while playing AND sing the line you are world class. What a group of magical musicians.

    Wow !
Only 4 musicians on the stage making this beautiful music. Incredible

My Dear God, if more people would listen and pay attention to this type of music and look at and just watch these great artists think where we could be.

I am 68 years old and have been a jazz enthusiast all my life and an amateur drummer and can not get enough of this. totally awesome

    The band:
    Melvin Lee Davis - bass,
    Sonny Emory - drums,
    Dave Grusin - keys,
    Lee Ritenour - guitars.
  • On June 26, 1934, Dave Grusin, an American jazz composer and pianist, was born. He is also known for composing film scores.
He received several awards, among others the Oscar for best score in 1989 for the soundtrack of the film The Milagro Beanfield War (Rebelião em Milagro) by Robert Redford, with the Brazilian Sônia Braga.
  • Funny how when this music was popular the world was more peaceful, when rap and hip hop became popular the world became more volatile and angry.
  • Dave Grusin at 80 paired with Lee R. (again). A true tour-de-force of modern music !

Grusin and Rit are 2 of the heavyweights in the industry. These cats have been great forever. I adopted this musical taste from my mother back in Pittsburgh in the early 70's. She is now 75 and we still listen to this style today

  • Lee Ritenour to me is one of the best guitarist of all time, love his style. Great performance. One love from Papua New Guinea.

This is the old school way that "Smooth Jazz" is done.  Neo-Classic!

One of the best live concerts I have ever watched! The comradery on stage was amazing to see. 4 world class musicians at the top of their game...just freaking fantastic!
  • Great music. Especially love how Ritenour transitions between melody and rhythm to keep a song moving forward and interesting.
