In this vlog, we welcome Jason Derulo & Jena Frumes to the ranch whose Belgian Malinois, Ghost, won't stop pulling on the leash.

Timecodes:
00:30 - Introduction
01:35 - The Belgian Malinois and the importance of giving a dog a job
02:42 - How to NOT use a leash properly
03:45 - What a leash should mean to a dog
04:24 - Importance of Trust, Respect, and Love
05:17 - How to Stop Dog Lunging
08:16 - Introducing the Treadmill to Ghost!

We go over the importance of exercise, knowing which tools to use to create the outcome you want, and one creative way to exercise your dogs using the treadmill!

Watch how I am able to address this issue and be sure to stay tuned for my new show premiering July 30, 2021 on National Geographic.

Remember, the most fundamental lesson is that it’s important to be aware of the state of mind of your dog and YOU!

Pay attention to your posture and how you lead your dog. What is causing leash pulling or your dog from barking too much? What are the triggers?

In the end is always…

Exercise, Discipline, Affection!

Best advice I ever heard was when Cesar, “said get a dog that matches your energy level and lifestyle.” People picking breeds for the wrong reasons!!
  • @Gumorisco11
Hard to imagine cesar came from Sinaloa didnt have no family in the U.S. slept under a bridge was homeless then he proceeded to walk dogs as a hobby then that hobby turned into a profession now hes a famous dog trainer very inspiring

This is why I got a lazy/hyper pitbull. She's lazy when I'm lazy, she's hyper when I'm hyper. She is a pro at cheering people up! She's the first bully I've ever raised and she's perfect ❤️
  • @inmintealucagula
They bought a belgian melanois and question themselves why is he pulling and has a lot of energy 😂😂😂
  • This video should be called “my owners don’t realize I’m a Belgian Malinois” 😂
  • @doublepromo8240
Wow, when he said homeless people's dogs are well behaved, they pretty much are.
  • I have a Belgian malinois. I spent 8 months watching everything I could about them before I got one. I socialised her from a very young pup and exercise her 3 - 5 times a day. Lots of training also. I think a Belgian malinois is a lifestyle rather than a pet. My dog is amazing and so smart, loyal and loving but I could imagine if I didn’t have the time or desire to put all that time in she would be mental!

Don't pick a dog based on looks but based on your life style. Hate taking long walks and can't walk your dog everyday 3 times a day? Don't take a Malinois, Husky or any dog that needs a "job", a lot of mental and physical exercise. Take a lapdog/small companion dog, or no dog at all. I hate when people go for "Cool looking dog" and have no knowledge or the right style to fit for the dog. Thank you Ceasar for educating us humans who need your help. I've been following your videos for 10 years and my dog that passed away was the most well behaved dog, praised by everyone.

Every Malinois deserves a human; not every human deserves a Malinois.

I love that jenna said “we don’t think we’re doing it right.” GOOD ON HER! I love the honesty, it will work in her favor of adapting more easily to and understanding her dog’s needs.
  • You can tell he wants Jason to train him. He keeps looking at him for reassurance. So amazing
  • @deefee701
I like Cesar's explanation of why dogs bite.
  • @tavor751
That’s a Malinois it’s the navy seal,SWAT,marine, secret service dog of choice,it needs work and activities
  • @xygnusx5067
Cesar is the only one who is truly an “influencer.”
  • @stevnporn
11 minutes Jason having no clue what kinda breed he has. Sad
  • @nns7353
this was great, also really good to see Jason as a celebrity trying to take care of the dog and making efforts to get him trained and all, some would just get the dog rehomed or ik many celebs would just hire a carer for the dog and not pay it any attention except for a pat here and there whenever they're home. Love how humble they are :)))
  • Thank you for watching! Let me know what you think of this video and what else you would like to learn! Blessings
  • @mishee7411
now you know why so many end up being dumped at shelters .. Im glad that Jason and Jenna got the proper help with training but so many dont .. being a K9 trainer at times it pisses me off seeing working dogs being dumped due to human stupidity .. some dont even deserve to own a pet rock ! Sorry that I have a shitty attitude but I rescue many of them .
  • @lex_ve
I love how receptive they both were to criticism! Not defensive at all!!! I loved this episode and everyone involved!!!
  • @ellendubiel4224
I've been watching Caesar for years and this is by far one of my favorites.
