I could not be more annoyed, if my best friend were insulting and rude to my future sister-in-law, I’d have to tell him to stop it. He is also being rude to the other friend and when the bride says she loves the dress, he undermines her then she changes her mind. She’s obviously used to letting him, have his way.

Bentley is nothing less that rude. You can have a strong opinion. You can disagree with someone else. But insults, name calling and accusing someone of being "selfish" when their opinion doesn't align with yours is childish. This is the bride's future sister-in-law and she does have a very good idea what is acceptable to her family. Some level of conservatism is expected in an Indian wedding. The bride is showing respect for her future family by trying to follow these traditions. The "best friend" is a jerk and should have been left at home.
