I blame the people who "own" the media. It's just that simple.
  • Your interview with Ian Ward was excellent. He really understands what makes J.D. Vance the way he is.

Peter Thiel, the right wing billionaire, spent $10 million dollars to get J.D. Vance elected as Ohio Senator. The quote from Louis Brandeis is worth remembering: We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both.
  • Check out Vance's recent interview remarks about "old cat ladies" and also about stopping divorces even if there's physical violence within the relationship, Etc..

Repeatedly saying "no matter what you think of his politics" is either disingenuous or naive when this person Vance is running for vice president. Anyone running for vice president (or any elected office) it's their politics which lead to their policies that are the main thing you should think about!
  • Glenn Greenwald Who is JD Vance and what does he really believe

What did Peter Thiel spend $10,000,000.00 on?
  • Trae Crowder ("Liberal Redneck") had a post this week about meeting James David Vance years ago. Crowder is funny and authentic, unlike Vance. Thiel is the power behind the throne.

"He thinks liberalism is... a ideology made to serve a...cosmopolitan elite..." Well, yeah, it was the new class called "capitalists" (or "merchant class" or "bourgeoisie"). We were taught that in regular public school US history, not like it was anything bad. Now both parties are economically liberal, but his wants to bring back some of the old medieval social ideology! How can you be for tariffs, you say to protect US workers, but not be for laws and rules that just directly protect workers
  • NETFLIX made a MOVIE from 'Hillbilly Elegy' ***** but reviewing interviews from recent years is more accurate re Vance's politics!

You are the best Amy, love your intelligence and how you bring the best out of your interviewees.

Thank you, Ian Ward. You are the first journalist/writer (other than Dr. Gil Doctorow) who has fairly assessed JD Vance's political potential. He complements Trump's bloviating, hyperbole and brings a refreshing independence of thought. Well done.

Unsettling words: "despite what you may think of his politics..."
