    Here are current plans: Mission Code Name - CHAPEA currently ran by NASA Rocket name - Artimis Trip timeline - Leave 2039 Arrive back 2-3yrs / takes 180ish days to get to Mars the distance is ever changing due to the planets always moving Power - Nuclear fission most likely due to lack of sunlight for solar power Communication will work to Earth just delayed by hours so they won't be out there with no help Living conditions will be better than you would expect. Toilets, Tv's, computers, full beds, gym, full hospital, there is gravity on mars so its not like living in the space shuttle where everything has to be strapped down and there will be soil so they can start real gardens unlike shuttle life. This won't get much attention until way closer to 2039 but as of now it's a go. What I think will happen NASA will work on the sending humans on Artimis while Space X will send the actual cargo(vehicles, living habitat, power stations etc) in its huge Space Ships.
