Those things Joez said at the end about Stanton are FACTS not “rumors” or “theorys”. He’s a detriment to the roster unless he’s KILLING IT with the bat.

I feel bad for Torres. It can’t be easy to focus on the process & not results when you’re in a contract year and failure to put up above average numbers will cost you tens of millions of dollars. Not to mention the ability to continue to play for the team you want to play for.

26:24 unlike other years where I’ve worried about the bullpen usage I’m not this year. Outside of a couple guys there may be a number of different faces in that pen by the time October rolls around

I think it depends on who’s cold at that point. If Stanton is cold he’ll get pushed to the bench, if Dugie is cold he’ll get pushed to the bench. Judge and Soto are guaranteed 2 of 4 spots so it just depends which 3 fill out those final two and I would just go with the hot hand

We’re in May and judge is one at bat away from hitting below .200. Somethings wrong.

You maximize Dominguez’s reps in AAA. Bringing him up to be your 4th outfielder that can rotate, spell guys, run for Stanton as early as the 5th inning. That allows you to include Trent Grisham in a trade for IDEALLY a lefty bench slugger. That’s one thing really missing from this team.

The most likely scenario, as much as I dont want to say it, is Stanton goes down with a hamstring or groin injury before Dominguez is back. Either that or Jasson has a cold start in his rehab and is optioned

While Stanton has surprised me with his productivity so far he’s gotta keep it up & improve to keep his spot over Jasson. Jasson adds such a dynamic element that would take this lineup to another level. We can’t let loyalty to Giancarlo prevent how stacked our lineup would look with him in there

There are 5 positions that generate your offense, in rough order DH (terrible) 1B (terrible) RF (amazing) LF (meh) 3B (terrible) Sure Torres, Wells, Judge arent hitting. But 60% of the actual offensive-first positions we're inexcusably awful

If the only concern was winning as many games as possible, the obvious decision would be to make Stanton a left handed platoon hitter and have a revolving door at the DH spot with Dominguez + the 3 starting outfielders since it’s fucking insane to have an everyday DH with a sub 800 ops and the running speed of CC Sabathia in 2018. But since that’s not how the Yankees operate, they’ll probably just stick Dominguez in the minors and wait for someone to get hurt to avoid making a tough decision

The stats go to show that the fan base goes off of vibes and Judge being bad + leading the league in double plays makes it seem like we're bad. We just are not. Improvement is great but like, if we're going to give Judge slack for this start, the team deserves some slack.

I'll give gleyber a standing ovation when he's finally playing garbage defense for someone else. I don't think this team is ever going to win with Gleyber and Stanton in the lineup on a regular basis.
