SoTF vines have the ability to pop leads, regardless of the crosspath, but the towers attacks can't pop leads without top path, MIB, or alch buff

Challenge spin a wheel every round and you have to place down a tower of your choosing before you spin the wheel and the wheel determines if you have to go bottom middle or top path only no cross pathing
