When I was working for ODOT on the Santiam Pass, the flatlanders would come up over the pass and ignore the chains required signs. They would then get stuck and block the road for everyone else. Portland so seldom gets snow that they have no snow removal equipment down there So ODOT has to take plows and sanders from up in the mountains and eastern Oregon to deal with the snow in Portland. That always takes time and the highways can get all snarled up if it is really bad.
  • I was stuck for 5 days in that mess and had to eat road salt mixed with dirt and pine needles. I found some gluten free salt with which I managed to build a tiny house with. Then I protested the snow and became a female. I think I'm pregnant now. Please donate on my Patreon. I will survive this!

boy this guy knows less than nothing about winter snow maintenance.
  • Why are they going backwards? Why not plow & lay gravel at once, instead of tying up two+ vehicles for what could be done with one?
