On "My Car Story" we're in Geneva IL at The Geneva Concours d’Elegance on 8-22-21.

We're looking at a 1935 Packard 1207 Club Sedan in Alhambra Tan Paint. This car has the factory V12 engine.

The car's Owner is John McNabola. John’s had the car since 2011. John shares he knew the previous Care Taker, and he wanted this car to go to John who would be a good home who appreciates the car. The V12 engine is incredibly smooth and quite when and after this car started.

ENJOY!

Imagine The number of highly skilled workers it took to build and assemble all the parts on that car and the majority of them did not go to school for it outside of high school.

This car is so incomparable to todays cars, looks so classy on the outside and so inviting, comfy on the inside

Not just transportation that's truly a masterpiece of craftsmanship and style. There was a time when the three " P" s as in Packard, Pierce- Arrow and Peerless were the symbols of prestige.
  • I had to imagine what it was like to take delivery of this car when it was brand new in 1935. All I can say is, I bet the original owners chauffer was very happy when he got to work the next morning!

What a beautiful Grand Lady! V12 Packard. Quote the masses "They don't build them like this anymore" Thank you again Lou, showing one fine original unmolested Classic...
  • wow!.. original upholstery from 1935??.... this car is just so beautiful!.... i love my dogs to the moon but dont think i would let anything/anyone touch the fabric 🙏😂 and the engine is beyond belief 😱
  • @1955mouse

Lou has been busy! Bringing us all these great cars! That is an elegant car for sure, and that V12 is smooth! I had read that Studebaker bought Packard in the 50s. It would be nice if both brands were here today.
  • Mr. McNabola has a great Packard & a smart dog: I would also not miss an opportunity to ride in one. Thanks, Lou!

Mighty rare car you found Lou. Man that interior looks like super comfort. What a ride!

The quality of the instruments and the internal fittings is just incredible . Senior Packards appear to have been built using only the very best of components that were available at the time - quite regardless of cost . I appreciate that so many survive to show us just how impressive they really were . Some of the technology may be out of date but it still works beautifully . The attention to detail and imposing appearance still command respect. Packards are special .

Sitting here watching on my tv while texting this from my phone, when the engine cranked up I didn't even hear it because it was so smooth and quiet. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and this automobile is beautiful!!! This is such a stately and grand automobile from a golden age and it makes quite the presence. People have described this vehicle as rolling art and I totally agree, just look at the curves of the fenders, streamlined head lamps, and the grill alone is a piece of sculpture!!! The Packard name has always evoked luxury and quality and this automobile is a fine example of just that!!! Very, Very fine automobile Lou!!!

"Ask the man who owns one.". Beautiful car 😍 Thanks Lou!

Times like this Lou, I wish that I had my grandfather's 1938 Cadillac....this is art, poetry on wheels! 😍😎

Back when Packard was still the best in our nation...just stunning...listen to that amazing engine!

What a great Car Story! It’s a shame Packard didn’t survive - it’s fun to think of what could have been. This Packard 12 is stunning. I love the dash, truly iconic. Thanks for bringing this one to us Lou!

A bygone era........ dare we say Art Deco styling....... just beautiful!! This is quite an impressive vehicle and you can really feel the precision of the engineering...... the way everything is put together. Wow! When you say "they don't make 'em like that anymore"! You are not kidding! Sure hope he wins a lot of medals and ribbons!😉
  • Heavy weight !!! I remember having to put my ear on the hood of a Packard to hear it running
  • Wow! That is really something else! Packards are by far my favorite cars. That grill looks like the gates of heaven. That mid engine thing next to it looks like a plastic toy in comparison. Great pick for a vid Lou! Thanks again!
