This guy oozes swagger, just absolutely fantastic fella. No one was like him, such a shame what happened to him.

Only 36 years old... criminal. I got to see Thin Lizzy a couple of times when they opened for Queen. That chrome pick guard nearly blinded me! They were awesome.

The man was a incredible talent, Bob Dylan called him a genius and it was true, he wrote some of the best Rock songs of all time, miss you Phil, your live shows were the best!!

Phil is the greatest front man ever.. He's the reason I picked up the bass.. His bass playing doesn't get the credit it should.. Nor does he.. He was amazing.
  • There never was, and will never, ever be another Philip Parris Lynott. The Rocker...

  • Lynott the Legend lives on ,i had the great pleasure of meeting him 1983 he was really cool and had plenty of time for me and my brothers and mates when we got backstage after a gig in Cardiff Wales ,true star

I've visited his grave in Howth, met his mum... legend. total legend.
  • Phil Lynott has got this kind of charisma few men got. Another one is Bon Scott. Sadly both passed away but watch them live and alive on YT it still a pleasure.

Phil Lynott is awesome!! Can someone please explain to me why "Thin Lizzy? isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Unreal!!
  • @LRBerry
That was hard to watch. I'm sat here trying to hold the tears back. To hear him talking about working on a new album he was so full of energy, so eager to make new music, but then we lost him on 04 January 1986. That was a time I will always remember. I saw Thin Lizzy 3 times and Phil Lynott with Gary Moore at the Manchester Apollo when they played Out in the Fields and Parisienne Walkways together. I hope Philomena gave him a clip round the ear for breaking her heart when we lost him now they are back together.

Really need to get a campaign to get Dublin airport named after him. Belfast have the George Best airport, Liverpool have John Lennon airport. How cool would it be to have the airport named Phil Lynott International airport here in Dublin ? Before any politicians get the idea of naming it after one of their own.

It's so sad that this gentle and talented man died the age he did and that he didn't deserve the way he went...but what a bloke after all the adversety he and his MA would of gone through for him to become famous and successful and dearly loved only goes to show the character of Phil...🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
