Sorry for commenting here. I'm blocked on the other channel and couldn't comment directly under your comment. Feel free to delete after reading. You wrote: "All you people claiming it's a basking shark I've got a little tip for you READ THE FREAKING DESCRIPTION they say this video was sent to the coast guard who confirmed it as great white and if any of you say that's a lie show me your evidence otherwise shut the heck up." 1, The coast guard didn't confirm anything. I aksed the uploader personally. The coast guard forwarded the video to marine biologists who first claimed it was a white shark and then later retracted that, claiming it was a basking shark. The uploader is aware of this yet doesn't bother to update his video description. 2. Coast guards aren't ichtyologists anyway. 3. This shark has all the hallmarks of a basking shark. Note it doesn't have a distinct color change from grey to white along the whole body as a white shark would. The only white is in the mouth region. Dorsal fin is too far away from the pectoral fins, gill slits are way too large for a white shark and the eye is way too small. White shark also would have larger more blackish eye. Then it also has a lamprey scar on its snout. Then of course there is also the size. They are also just as inquisitive as white sharks. Here's what some experts say about it (and I've also seen many more marine biologists declare this to be a basking shark: 4. http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2017/06/possible_great_white_shark_lur.html https://www.capenews.net/sandwich/news/big-sharks-return-to-cape-waters-oh-my/article_8b179c8b-77b1-51dd-b156-5f3c5d2c5b56.html Have a good day and all the best with your channel.
