Good pronunciation! AG were formed in 2015 by Asiobisystem. Mizyu had already worked for that agency as a backup dancer for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and she was joined by Suzuka, Rin and Kanon. They do all their own choreography and also create dances for other groups. In 2020 the joined the management agency 88rising to break into the US market and thy've had some success, but their recent TikTok break out and this First Take video is a real step up in popularity for them. Asobisystem seems to give them a lot or artistic freedom, which isn't common for J-pop groups, and they do some avant garde art projects as well as the music and dance. Otona Blue (Adult Blue, blue is associated with youth and immaturity in Japan as well as the usual English meaning of "blues") is about "teenage awakening" ie the awareness of desire in others and their own desire to grow up and experience adult emotions. AG wrote the lyrics themselves when they were younger and I think it's an honest expression of their feelings as they approached adulthood, which can make people uncomfortable. But AG never shy away from difficult subjects. They cut out some of the more explicit "phallic" bits of the dance and introduced a mime of a flower opening with a surprised look. Check out their latest song "Suki Lie" which is about romantic betrayal.

I'm a little perplexed, if you like Japanese Girl Groups, J-pop and the The First Take, where is BabyMetal??? For over 12 years, they have won more awards and broken more barriers than I can list here. Just a couple weeks ago, their performance of Monochrome on the First Take garnered over a Million views in the first 24 hr.s. Su-Metal is one of the great sopranos of our time.
