villains are often the best when they are animated because of how animation allows them to exaggerate how cheesy and over the top they can be, this adaptation of cruella manages to convey that exaggerated camp and cheesy villainy as seen in animation to real life brilliantly! Glenn Close really showed up for this

Glenn Close has always had the best and most accurate portrayal of Cruella. The voice, mannerisms and overall attitude she brought to life for this character will never be replaced. She kept that true authenticity of Cruella being a very English woman and also that she will speak every thought she has and doesn’t hold back from being blatantly rude. Glenn also kept the charm that Cruella has when approaching people she desires to manipulate and she made Cruella’s sense of style and passion for clothing, interior design and glamour seem completely genuine. In my personal opinion no one will ever top or come close to Glenn Close’s portrayal of Cruella De Vil.
