"But she doesn't look like you. We have lots of other dolls that look more like you."

"She's a doctor like I'm a doctor. She's a pretty girl, and I'm a pretty girl." Just beautiful. Sophia is going to make a wonderful doctor someday if that's what she chooses to pursue in life.

This is how a child grows up to be a loving adult. She is lucky to have civilised parents.
  • “Shes a pretty girl and im a pretty girl” this warmed my heart on level 100 because im a black girl 🥰🦋❤️

This immediately reminded me of a sad experience when I was little. I loved to color and had colored some of the people in my coloring book dark brown (this was back in the early 1960's). I was very fond of our housekeeper and her skin was that color and I was not yet old enough to be taught to hate. It just seemed to be a normal thing to me to color people like the lady I loved who was always kind to me. My mom was livid and tore those pages out of my coloring book. I still remember that, being told I had done something wrong. Fortunately I did not grow up to be a racist.

When a toddler is smarter than a full grown adult.
  • "but when the two-year old's not playing with her dolls..." she's busy schooling ignorant target cashiers on their racism 😂
  • @hankm3662
There you go folks; who makes these kids prejudice, it's the adults spreading their hate!!!
  • @kellymoran2517
When the cashier said “she doesn’t look like you”I was so upset that someone would ever say such a thing

Ignorance is absolutely everywhere, but a tiny little girl has the wisdom for us all.
  • "She's a doctor like I'm a doctor and She's a pretty girl and I'm a pretty girl" 😍😍😭😭😍😍

Kids aren’t born racist. They learn it from adults. The cashier is a prime example !
  • @mariaj985
That's because we are not born racist. ..we are taught to be that way
  • If we all raised our children like this what's happening NOW would NEVER happen again. This is what we should strive for aren't y'all tired of all the hate.

I hope this child gets everything she wants in life and becomes a great doctor. Doctor Sofia!
