Water can travel through small membrane, like a dialysis tube. It can go in or out of a container(osmosis). Iodine is mixed in with the water, so their molecules can go in, too(diffusion). Iodine can make something change color based off of acidity. So it turned the cornstarch solution purple through osmosis and diffusion.
