  • When RSJ quoted Proverbs, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick" I felt that. I've always wanted to be married and to be a mother myself, yet I'm still single and childless. It's hard to watch people (especially people way younger than you) get married and have the life you always wanted. You feel like God forgot about you. But I keep reminding myself that God knows what He's doing in my life. I trust Him.

I just got home from seeing UNSUNG HERO. Loved it and Praising the LORD for the miracles He provided for their needs.

The anxiety part of her story reminded me of a part of Donny Osmond's story too. He had a time period that he had to take a break & process some things because of the anxiety that was brought on from stage performances. That's very interesting to me. I think part of it might also be from the amount of time that you as performers are being vulnerable & pouring into our lives - that Truly God says Hold up you guys need to take a break & let me just fill you for a little while 🫂 🤗

Candace being a promoter of Christ and family really makes her stand out in her field!
  • Wonderful encouragement for young Mamas! Be kind is a reminder for every woman. Do not criticize other women! Encourage , encourage, encourage!!!! Build each other up. For such a time as this!

When Rebecca talks about how her parents handled the teen years, that’s how we are handling them, that mindset of empowering them to choose and putting the ball in their court.
  • This is a fantastic movie. An amazing family that endured much disappointment and hardship. Much to learn from their story when you remain steadfast to believe in the faithful one-our redeemer and Lord!

I still love Rebecca and still listen to a lot of her music (mostly on CDs I have). It's so cool that she mentions waiting for her spouse because she wrote a song about it - and praying for him too before she even met him (mentioned in the song). She is a really good definition of a Christian - meaning she really did and still does try hard to live it right. I am not saying she is perfect because no one is; however, she is what I personally consider to be close to it, and for that reason I have always appreciated, admired and respected her so much.
  • RSJ has such a sweet spirit. I'm so thankful she is willing to be open about her struggles, because it helps others feel not so alone in it. May the LORD bless you both as you serve Him! ❤🙏😇
  • Oh, my heart goes out to Nadia! I too struggled with getting pregnant. I had "unexplained infertility", which was even more frustrating when there is nothing wrong they could find to fix! It was so hard watching what seemed like everyone else get pregnant but me. But I gave my desire to God and poured myself into throwing baby showers for those ladies and held on to the hope for my own some day. I would encourage you to be the awesome Auntie to your nieces and nephews. Show them all the things you want for your own child to come and wait for the desire of your heart to be fulfilled when and however God brings it to you!

Candace, what you said about teens being intentional about who they're influenced by is key. I don't think this could be emphasized enough. As parents, encouraging good Christian friends is vital for teens.

My 2,4,6 sat through it not one peep glued to this movie

I Love the talk about the kids. Sometimes I feel successful to some degree simply cause their all still alive & survived their childhood years lol 😅
  • @marijacolak3438
I love the honesty in this and to see that our value is in Jesus and not in how much we can do...I also experienced the burn out in ministry and feel like God is leading me into the unknown.

My three little girls had to take a nap every day. I took a nap at the same time. I told them they had to stay in their rooms for an hour, even if they didn’t sleep❣️I also traded babysitting every week with my cousin who had 3 children❣️💕🥰💕

Love Candace and Rebecca St. James. I have listened to Rebecca since I was a teenager. I love her faith and csn now say I am learning so much from both of you. Thank you to you both. Love your relationship with your mom and siblings. Love to you both! My faith has gotten stronger ❤
  • I found with my child, grandchildren, or even my unruly high school students music to be a soother. Not just any music, but instrumental classical music (there are even Christian lullabies that might work, if words are not detracting) worked wonders. Not played loudly, but just loud enough it forces them to be quiet to hear it. It’s good for their brains and rest. Jesus Loves Me has been the lullabye in our family for a couple of generations. Babies WILL sleep if the routine becomes constant. Good luck to that sleep deprived mom.
  • @CSTeears-68
I used to cry & sing with my babies when they weren't sleeping well. I also would sing Jesus Loves Me to them as well & make my own verses. I often would feel like I was singing the Jesus Loves Me more to myself than them, trying to reassure myself & rocking them & hoping I don't go crazy lol

I have to say, Candace is the real deal. While she was talking about something, i just thought to myself she really does live it out. Im sure shes not perfect lol, but she lives it out. I know this by her business decisions, her social media. Shes the real deal. Very vibrant. Very convicted. I have mad respect for her. ✊🏻

Candace, when you were able to set this up, were you geeking out? 😊 I saw Rebecca St. James once in concert and got to meet her. Her devotional was the first online purchase I ever made.
