The dams in this video scares the crap out of me! I can’t imagine being so close to something that powerful. All the end of the world movies always has a scene of people trying to outrun water and fail. That would be me dead 5mins into the movie. One day as I’m getting ready for work I hear the local news say we were under a boil water advisory for the next couple of days. It happened the day before a holiday so people were extra pissed off! Well the couple of days turned into a week! We hated it but the grocery stores and restaurants loved it. Charging $2 bucks for a CAN of Pepsi but I paid because I was desperate. You couldn’t find bottled water or a can of Pepsi in a 20 mile radius. All of this drama because of a freaking squirrel 🐿! Yep, you read that right. A squirrel got into our water plant and decided to chew on a power line or two and ended up BBQ’ing himself! In fact he BBQ’d himself so good that they had to replace all the cables. The crazy part(right?!) is that this wasn’t the first time this has happened! Luckily they were able to repair the damage quickly. So they knew this was an issue but never thought to squirrel proof the facility? I got no problems waiting a week for clean water. I would love if my state started looking at water, wind, solar panels for energy. I pray that I live long enough see it. My niece announced that she wants to be a environmental scientist! I’m so proud of my sweet baby niece! 🥰
