Cruising doesn’t have to be expensive! I was about to cruise for 13 days on board the Norwegian Getaway for $511 which is $39 per day! Great price for travel, food, cabin and entertainment. Enjoy!

I’m 66 years old and I took a 9 cruise to Alaska on the Norwegian Sun in September and loved it!!! I thought I would get lonely by myself but that didn’t happen! I’ve been widowed for 18 years and realized very quickly that if I didn’t push myself I would have a very lonely life. I’ve talked with people from all over the world on that cruise. I highly recommend it but be sure you get travel insurance because you might need help if you don’t have someone traveling with you. Also, watch lots of videos about the different cruise lines and learn from the experiences that people share here. Just do it singles! 🤗

There is a big difference between "being alone" and "being lonely" isn't there?! Thank you for sharing 👍🏻

I am from Germany and had 2 single cruises because my husband didn't want to join me .We had allready travelled on a cruise together the same year,so i went alone and had a great experience on both cruises. The first day we had a single meeting and i found some great companions i spendet time with every day. We where a group of 11 people, had our meals together and even trips off board. We spend our evenings going to a show or a bar and had so much fun,but nobody was forced to join all the activitys.i would do it again👍

I did a 13 day solo cruise in February 2023 on Norwegian (New Zealand & Australia) and I met so many great people. The solo meet up groups that Norwegian organizes are amazing!

I prefer to travel alone. You can change anything at any time without having to speak to anyone.

Introvert here. I enjoy traveling with others, but most of the time, I prefer traveling alone. I get to do whatever I want, my own room/cabin and bathroom, and the peacefulness.

I love traveling by myself anywhere, including cruises! I make friends, get talkative sometimes while having lunch or dinner, go to the library and have a game of chess, definitely go to an art gallery (free champagne and giveaways like spa services!❤) . I’m single at 53 years old, so I’m definitely not staying at home when I can afford to travel! I haven’t tried a single cabin yet; however, after seeing your cabin Ben, and the price 😮I will for sure! It’s plenty big enough for me!🙋‍♀️💜🇨🇦

I love traveling alone! I took a 21-day cruise from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso, Chile (not far from Santiago) in my late 30s and had a blast. Loved that area of the world so much that I decided to stay for 3 1/2 months. I was between jobs at the time and figured that I may not have the opportunity to do that again. What opened my eyes so much is how many people from Europe were there for the same amount of time as me. I met a couple from Berlin one was a doctor and one was a lawyer and they only worked 6 months a year.

My older brother and I did the same on Norwegian Cruise Line several years ago. We did the same, booked the studio rooms. Our rooms were next to each other. Neither of us had the Wi-Fi or drink package either. We were up and out each am about 6:30 am, and the took in a show or whatever each night, so back in the room by about 10:30 to 11. Yes, the studio room was great!!!
  • Great content Ben, one important tip when cruising is to leave yourself time to just chill. The cruise planner is packed with activities and it's easy to get drawn into thinking that you have to fill every hour on-board. Mid afternoon is a great time to take time for yourself, read a book, listen to some music, catch a few zz's. Another tip is to use the opportunity cruising provides to try something you normally wouldn't do, check the daily planner and pick something, it's a great way to expand your experience and hopefully have some fun.

Thank you for your solo cruise information. I have taken many solo cruises where I've had to pay double. Seems unfair to pay for a second person's dining, entertainment and lodging when there's only me. This past December I discovered solo prices with Fred Olsen cruises and had an amazing time at a much more reasonable price. And I enjoyed the company on the ship of many other solo travelers. I'm excited to see Norwegian offering solo cabins and can't wait to check them out. Your videos have been informative and entertaining! Thank you!

I haven't traveled by myself since I quit traveling for work ( several decades ago). This video encourages me to do it. Thanks for sharing about solo traveling.

I went alone on a Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas cruise. I loved it -- not being on anyone else's schedule was terrific. I'm a writer, so I used a lot of the time to write, so I didn't mind the down time in the middle of the day. They also have free-style dining (they call it My Time Dining). The only downside was that I had to book a regular cabin for two so it was more costly than a solo cabin, but I love to have a balcony. I'd like to do one on Serenade of the Seas, which has solo balcony cabins. But for $511 for 13 days I would SO BOOK THAT CRUISE!! That's an amazing price.

I just returned from a 7-day cruise on Norwegian Viva as a solo cruiser. By far the best cruise of my life, I'm already planning my next solo cruise

Wow!!! This video was a game changer for me... and I immediately subscribed to your channel to know more! Am a single senior in my 70's... like to travel... and enjoy choices with the opportunity to meet other singles. Your stateroom seemed very comfy with everything you need... with a dedicated singles lounge ... singles gatherings... and lots of eating choices. Perhaps most noteworthy is that the Norwegian Line makes singles cruising affordable and fun... for less than just about any other kind of travel. Thank you Ben... for opening my eyes to all the possibilities! Looking forward to following your adventures and learning more😊

I have really enjoyed your videos . I have cruised with family only but I'm not afraid of going along. So glad Norwegian decided to do solo cabins it makes a world of difference in one's wallet.

I am a solo traveller and I love the freedom it gives me over everything from start to finish.
  • @cyd282
That was a great price! My sister in law who is single but traveled with family got a solo room and loved it. The studio lounge is a nice touch as well. Since it was auch a great savings maybe my husband and I should get separate rooms😂
  • Thank You Ben, s a solo traveller myself I have resisted travelling on a cruise, but you have clarified and inspired me to check on cruising!
