Not easy in todays world of more manufacturers making their vehicles dealer only scan tools. Plus they love to put mechanical parts where you need to take off half of the other parts to access.

Been a service tech gm certified I felt the same way help people with mechanical issues I own my own shop wish I had gotten into different line of work but had to make a living dealerships don't care about helping people it's all about upselling and taking customers for every cent they can pay techs crap all so techs can spend a small fortune on tools too bad it went that way wasn't like that when I started in 1980

Yes but I would say I love the fact in put being able to troubleshoot and diagnose any issue especially if it came from a shop near by that had no clue and some don’t no where to start. So the for me that speaks priceless all on its own and that is when you know the money flows in like pops duck tales fortune 💴 💰 room ( For the older guys a bit of nostalgia) God bless you all
