Join me and my friend Rob as we search with metal detectors at an old colonial homesite near a railroad track. We find colonial coins, buttons, shoe buckles and a unique iron adze.

I hope you bought Lindsey some flowers on the way home, and if you didn't then you need to hold your breath until you get her some, even if they're late! Hope you're feeling better soon! All the best to you!
  • I like your optimism, You teach me about soil, charcoal.... Thank you. You encourage me to dig. YOU are so positive!!

That definitely looks like a railroad or carpenters foot adze. Nice find. Very cool! The buttons and coins were nice too. Good to see you out and about and I hope you are at 100% soon.

Great Video Beau! I thought you were on to an awesome dump with all that pot material, buckles, and such in that small area. Hope you get back there and dig like the beast you are without a camera, love seeing you dig, but if you did not worry about us I think the finds would mount up, and way beyond the 12th Georgia regiment.

Great to seethat you aer out-and-about again. You have been missed. All the charcoal you have been finding could be residu from burning brush , etc. from clearing the land or from making charcoal. A lengthy process that had to be done several times each year. Great video.

Some people use Groundhog Day to predict how much winter is left..I think we should use it to predict how long until Chigg gets to digging ground holes...lol
