    You wanted to know how the balloon did not pop when it was pushed against many needles but it popped when it was forced against one needle. Well the science behind it is that when you have one needle you are focusing all of your applied force directly onto one point causing a harsher amount of pressure on the specific point of the balloon which causes it to pop, whereas when you have many needles you are spreading your force evenly on every point dividing the applied force by how many needles you have so this is what causes it not to pop.

    Hi Rug, The Ball-Pin trick works because as you add more pin, the surface area of pressure from the pins increase. As pressure and surface area inversely related (Pascal Theory), more surface area means less pressure on the balloon. As a result, the balloon did not pop when there were more pins on the table.
