Clear video, no Youtube auto-stabilisation which causes jello effect, camera held in landscape orientation, clear explanation of things, 1080p resolution AND 60 FPS? Damn, that's some quality video.

I always love it when a standard procedure involves tripping an alarm.

As a US Navy sailor that is burdened with procedures and micromanaging seeing an entire engineroom come online within minutes and done by 1 person makes me both jealous and happy.
  • At 1:18 I love hearing the generator as it comes under load… The RPM stays the same, you just hear the turbo spooling up more, the more load is applied

This is actually the inside of a standard sedan engine, being filmed by a Smurf. Everytime you turn the key, this is what takes place.
  • @DraGma
That's one tidy engine room. Not a stain anywhere.

Finally YouTube algorithm recommends something of quality content.

When you need a 250 hp engine to start your engine Edit: y'all it has been three years I know it's the generator you can stop telling me

i'm a few years late but that's a nice engine room and that's a mean engine right there... perfect video , straight to the point and good quality too 10/10

Nice after almost 5 years youtube puts this is my recommended

These types of videos always amaze me that such feats of engineering excellence have been achieved by people of flesh and blood, just like us, with no divine intervention. There are two different worlds, one holds the people always complaining and all the movie stars and the football hotshots, and the other holds people who work relentlessly and silently everyday so that the former gets a roof to live under with safety and security and opulence.
  • what an awesome video! I've been in these engine rooms many times and it's very noisy, I've never actually seen how smooth they start up . thanks
  • @SedatedByLife
Wow... The big engines have always amazed me. They never get old to me lol. Too noisy for me but still - the incredible amount of engineering behind them is baffling.

Nobody: YouTube: Wanna see a tugboat start? (Edit: Wow thanks for the 1.6k likes lol. It’s been quite the year.)
  • @lonnybruce9407
Would have been a treat to see the tugboat that these engines powered.

What a procedure. Awesome engine room. Kudos to the crew that keeps all this in ship shape.
  • I am in love with the cleanliness of the engine room. I really appreciate how u let the generator rpms catch up before turning on another system. I also believe you didn't turn off the air supply as the system didn't have proper pressure yet? Absolutely amazing video in every way. Thank you
