To be honest, I almost didn’t watch this video. I’m struggling with weight loss and a pcos diagnosis right now and I was like “man, I really don’t want to hear about another persons incredible fitness journey and see them flex how great they look”. But I had to switch my thought process, because you’re Morgan. I relate to you a lot, and I’m happy that you’ve been able to make a healthy transition to fitness in your life. Thanks for taking us along with you, and representing a healthy adaptation without “flexing” your weight loss, body checking, etc. you’re a positive influence to this generation, and I’m PROUD of you, and thankful for you.

omg if every gym was this dark with subtle colored lights i would.... probably still be too anxious to ever go but WOULD THINK ABOUT IT MORE OFTEN PROBABLY

When people say you look different, it isn’t necessarily the weight loss itself. You’re just radiating on a different level now. I noticed a change in you before you said something awhile back. Mostly how much clearer your eyes are and how healthier your skin looks. And it’s NOT that you looked horrible, it’s that you have a spark that didn’t seem to be there before. I’m proud of you.

Finally someone who understands that a compliment can feel negative 😢

a couple years ago i lost around 50 lbs and received some of the most backhanded compliments…everyone was complimenting and mentioning my weightloss and it was like “is this really all what people thought about?”

“I bet your house is where my other sock is” 😝😂

Morgan I totally understand those compliments not seeming like compliments. I lost a significant amount through getting super sick and being super sick for about two years. People complimented how great I looked when I was the sickest and most miserable I've ever been. Once a guy who had been a regular at a shop I used to work at told me when catching up: "Wow you've really slimmed down. You look great!" And I said "Yeah I got really sick." And he was SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Now when a friend tells me about weight gain or loss I ask them "how do you feel about that?" If it aligns with their personal goal=it's a win and good for them. If it doesn't align with their personal goals= empathize, offer support in whatever form they need. But it's not fun to have family/friend make unsolicited comments that make you feel like you're more valuable now as opposed to then. It's also so important that you note that your self confidence issues don't get magically solved in a different sized body. Be kind to yourself in every form you come in, because we will all look so different throughout our lives. ❤
  • To what you were saying in the beginning about how weight loss didn’t bring you everything you thought it would, happiness, confidence, etc.. The same is true for most large life goals; career success, wealth, relationships. I think this is a lesson everyone learns in their 20s. We then realize you can never escape the deep rooted issues and actually have to address those to be truly happy. Which can be daunting but also at least you know what path you need to take. No matter where you go, there you are.

Morgan, I don't say this to make you feel better, I genuinely feel like you've always been beautiful. Your inner beauty is very bright. It's hard to find someone as genuine and vulnerable as you are, and I appreciate watching your videos. I feel like I'm spending time with a friend.

Wait a second, does the whole sock situation mean that Lucas moved in?!? Love that for you!! Get to keep in contact with the guys!

i became overweight during the last two years of high school! i always did my hair , makeup , nails ,etc ! then i lost 35 pounds during Covid and met up with my high school friends for my birthday ! i wil NEVER forget when my friend told me “ oh my goodness Sammie ! you became girlier and prettier”… I just got thinner, that’s all ! love yourselves during your personal journies 🤍! do it for yourself and remind yourself you’re capable of all things ! go on with your bad self !

I used to be overweight and then finally got down to my goal weight and the feeling of being overweight has just never gone away for me. I am still self conscious and always feel fat even though i know I am not. I will look in the mirror and like my outfits and buy cute clothes but when I am out and about I just have that feeling from being overweight for so long. I am just uncomfortable in my skin and I need to learn to love my self, I know this and I am getting better at it but it's a hard journey. And trust me Morgan it does such putting all the time and energy into getting healthy and then stopping for just a month and falling backwards. Don't give up bit don't be hard on yourself. Enjoy your accomplishments and it's good people Notice your change. I hate it when people say "you haven't changed a bit!" Because I have put a lot of work into getting better. So for people to notice your progress, that's a good thing! ❤

Morgan you’re the reason I finally went to get my moles checked out and it turns out I did have a melanoma. (I am a mole queen too) I told my husband you saved my life!
  • @cindykurneck
I feel you Morgan! I just lost 56 lbs, and even when people say nice things there are many times that 'complement' comes with strange eye rolls and unspoken snark. Don't worry about how you look - think about how much better you feel in your body - with your health. I just feel so comfortable now - which I never did before, and I concentrate on that! ❤❤❤
  • @JennaMoon
Ok but you’re so real about the body dysmorphia and feeling of being lied to post weight loss. When I lost a ton of weight, the worst realization I had was that I didn’t instantly feel happy and all of my internal shit didn’t magically go away. No one ever talks about that!! And not seeing yourself in the mirror the way others do and feeling like a stranger in your own body/brain!! You’re not alone girly, and you’re crushing it. Your mind will eventually catch up to the physical body and change and grow, too. But they definitely do not automatically match up to each other. It sucks.

I haven’t watched many of her older videos in a while but when she showed the clip from June of 22 when she started working out it actually impressed me how far she’s come. Really proud of you Morgan on the transformation! Your dedication has really paid off 🙂❤️
