The stigma around regifting irks me so much! Coming from a lower class family, sometimes regifting was all we had. All that matters is that your heart is behind the giving of the gift, doesn't matter where it came from in the first place. If the receiver of the regift has an issue with it being a regift, they are the problem. To me, that sounds like, "You didn't spend money on me?" No, but I still picked something out for you, thinking of you, and gave you a gift out of the kindness of my heart.

Yes to having gifts on both birthday & holidays! My mom’s birthday was on Christmas Eve & as a kid, people would always give her a “birthday/Christmas combined” gift that was always wrapped in Christmas paper. Her birthday cakes were always Christmas themed & never themed the way she wanted.She never felt like she had a legit birthday because of the fact that it was on such a hugely celebrated holiday.
