As a panthers fan cj would’ve struggled here too carolina was a total shitshow last year

Being a Ravens fan, you do really get to see how much other teams overthink things when it comes to the draft

Love didn't get the starting job until year 4, same as Rodgers. He started one game in 2021 at KC when Rodgers was out with COVID.

Seattle (my team) definitely does not do great in the first round, but John Schneider is still employed because he does generally find great value players later on. At least last year's draft features a pair of great 1st rounders for once.
  • So, as a Packers fan, I’m going to push back on the “Packers are the best at drafting in the 1st round narrative.” Don’t get me wrong. We draft pretty well, and most importantly, we avoid busts and wastes of major draft capital (i.e. Mitchell Trubisky, Trey Lance, Bryce Young). But we are not getting consistent Pro Bowlers in the 1st round. That is something the Dallas Cowboys have mastered. Their list of recent 1st-round draft picks reads like a Pro Bowl roster. I think where the Packers really excel is at drafting in the 2nd round and later. So many impact players in the later rounds: Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, David Bakhtiari, Micah Hyde, Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, Elgton Jenkins, Romeo Doubs, Zach Tom, Rasheed Walker, Jayden Reed, Tucker Kraft, Dontayvion Wicks, and Carrington Valentine.

Wasn’t surprised with the Cowboys since that’s the only thing we could do right is draft since we don’t do shit in free agency
  • What Brad Holmes has done in the only 3 drafts he has had is insane, especially in the later rounds. st brown in the 4th, derrick Barnes in the 4th, malcolm rodriguez in the 6th, James houston in the 6th, melifonwu in the 3rd, McNeill in the 3rd, kerby joseph in the 3rd. absolutely insane, not to mention laporta and branch in the 2nd

GMs and owners think they’re smarter than they actually are and draft guys like Zach Wilson at 2 because “potential”. Real life isn’t madden

Big thing for the Chargers the past 10 years was that Telesco drafted really well in the first round but was absolutely bootycheecks at drafting in the mid and later rounds. This resulted in top heavy teams, with plenty of stars but no quality depth. Few good role players. Nobody that could step up in a pinch for an injured star. This is why the Chargers have been the off-season champs but nothing of value

Hope things will be different going forward ⚡⚡

If there is a team that dominated post first round draft picks, it’s gotta be KC. Kelce, Sneed, Pacheco, Hill, plus Jones, Humphrey, and Bolton were all drafted in the 2nd or lower

As a Panthers fan, whats crazy is if you expand this data since realignment, you would see that the Panthers in about 20 years have only 1 1st round draft bust not due to injury (Vernon Butler). When Hurney was here you know when he picked 1st round the player at minimum was gonna a a solid multi year starter, often than not make a least 1 pro bowl, and just recently made the HOF (Peppers) Dudes like Gross, Gamble, Davis, D-lo, Beason, J-Stew were all major contributors during the John Fox era, and guys like Newton, Kucehly, Star, Thompson, and McCaffery where a major part of the Rivera era, and we though that guys like Moore, and Burns would be part of this era with Brown, Horn (when healthy) and Icky, but sadly with McCaffery we traded the . Even Gettleman wasn't that bad in the 1st round, Benjamin was good in Carolina.

as a packers fan i agree we play the waiting game and it has paid off major our QB luck i will admit is crazy but out 1st round picks have also been really good and after the draft im confident in this packers team i wouldnt say super bowl contenders but definitely going to the playoffs and our defense this season is about to be insane and we got one of the best running backs all we honestly need is a good wide receiver
  • @zerksylol
Absolute banger loved the ending aswell

Honestly surprised the Ravens aren’t on this, but I guess the wr picks really dragged them down
