Join me as I revisit the Dahua 5849-A180 180 degree camera. In this video I do a simple comparison to the Hikvision DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL. While there are some similarities there are also a lot of differences, including aspect ratio and resolution. I'll take you through these, show updates to the Dahua since my last video and let you know my thoughts.

I continue to think Dahua cameras are a full step below Hikvision. Not sure how the takeaway where said the opposite. Hik is more clear, less distorted. The few Dahua cameras I've used echo'd the same in comparison.

Thank You for your visualization and knowledge. love the form factor of these 180 degree cameras. I actually purchased (6) of the HIKVISION units with a NVR. I had issues with NVR integration with cameras and sought assistance from HIKVISION technical support. They are not interested in talking to owners!! I actually returned the items ( 6 Cameras, NVR, 6TB Surveillance HDD, 6 Camera Mounts, Micro SD Cards, etc...) I could have figured out the issue and worked around it. but they left a terrible impression and I will likely never buy HIKVISION again! I am currently entertaining DAHAU after auditioning a REOLINK TRACKMIX POE unit. Thanks again for sharing!!😎

How is the night time comparison between these two? Do you still prefer dahua for night?
