  • I am an 85 year old grandmother in tears vividly remembering when my father used to play it on the piano for me at bedtime

My daughter is in hospital right now.. we are from Greece. She is 6 years old and she had her second heart surgery last week. Now she is in the icu and tries to recover! Day by day she is getting better.. I play this song every night, its the only song that calms her and help her fall asleep because she needs it. I wish to all the people around the world happiness and a healthy life!
  • I am.76 years old, mothér to 5 chidren and grandmother to 6. My husband passed in 2008. This was the first song he played for me on the piano. He was 18 and I was 17..tear up everytime I hear this song..Rest in peace my beloved ❤
  • My late wife Sabrina and I, listen to this, the first time, in the hospital, when our first set of triplets passed away in still form. Ever since their death, and the death of my late wife Sabrina, this song makes me cry, each and everytime that a new born, born, and when Valentine Days come and go. They will be Greatly Missed, But Never Ever Forgotten Either. Fly High Sabrina Anne Sokol, And You My Youngins To. We Love You All.

Almost 7yrs ago, the final days before my Mom passed, I'd lay with her playing this on my phone. Her body was shutting down, so I would caress her hair as I silently cried. I LOVE YOU, MY PRETTY LADY ❤

I don't think anyone will see this comment but I wish you and your family peace and health to overcome the Covid pandemic.
  • I was a nanny for over 6 years in Asia then I moved here in the US. This lullaby song helped me so much when I was trying to put the kids to sleep so I can do my work.. it really calms them down and relax. NOW, that I have my own family I used the same techniques to my kids most especially when bed time. Even when I was still pregnant I used to listen to it and now my eldest is over 2 and half years old. Last month I gave birth to our second son via emergency C section, he was only 32 weeks and 4 days. When I was alone at the recovery room in the hospital I played this song and made me cry.. apparently it didn’t sink in right away what happened that day. Now, my baby and I are home safe and sound. Still recovering well and my baby is growing healthy. Thanks for song big time.
  • I play this when I can't sleep due to insomnia and it works. I'm 57 years young. 😁

Mentally soothing. Makes me feel like crying. I'm 61. In a bad space. The nicer Childhood memories 😢 💖 💓 ❤ come flooding back. I guess it wasn't all bad. I miss my mommy...gone since 03/20/1991. My #1 fan and my support team all in one. She thought I was everything good. Time to bounce back! Youtube is amazing.
  • I’m 40 years old we started playing this when my granddaughter was born in the hospital she’s now 4 years old and we both fall asleep every night listening to this
  • @annalisa1189
My mom, who's gone to heaven many years ago, played it to my first born, she's now 39, and I play it to my grandkids. This music reminds me of beautiful, fond memories.❤️
  • My daughter was crying in the car for about 7 minutes. I played other lullabies and nothing worked. She listed to this for about 3 minutes and fell asleep ❤️❤️❤️
  • @werdna1969
I remember my mother singing this to me at night. I vividly remember her voice... which is amazing because it was more than half a century ago.
  • I first learned to sing this lullaby in 1948 as a boy  soprano when I was 12 years old. I had four younger brothers and sisters and I had the privilege of singing them to sleep with this relaxing and dreamy melody. It never failed. In later life as a very limited baritone I had to be content with humming the lyrics but even this worked. It just seemed to take longer. And with my grandchildren? Advances in technology (as per  McClung Music) made me redundant but never could I equal the quality and purity of the delicate playing in this rendition. Johannes Brahms, I am sure, would be pleased. I just had a vision of the Guardian Angels in Heaven after a busy day on Earth protecting their charges asking Brahms to play Wiegenlied, so that the angels on the night shift could have an easier time.
